The NPK-20 breathes new life into portable keyboards. Powered by the celebrated NUX WKJ-03 triple-sensor graded hammer-action mechanism—with escapement and synthetic ebony/ivory keytops—it offers an authentic piano feel. The key touch curves, rebound, and legato response have been fine-tuned, while a new key noise reduction design ensures a cleaner playing experience.
Sound-wise, the NPK-20 brings depth and expression through its German 9-foot grand piano sampling. You’ll also have access to 271 high-quality voices divided into 7 groups, with the option to combine, split, and layer tones for creative versatility.
Onboard effects and processing push it further: choose from 4 reverbs, 4 compressor types, chorus, delay, and a 9-band EQ. For singers or performers, there’s a dynamic microphone input with gain control and reverb effects.
Automatic accompaniment features let you add backing styles to your performance—add intros, endings, variations, or switch to a drum machine mode when accompaniment is toggled off.
Connectivity is solid: USB MIDI, Bluetooth MIDI / Audio, AUX-IN, LINE OUT, dual headphone outputs, and a damper pedal jack are included. You can save up to 7 user presets, and a built-in metronome (9 beats, 3 tone choices) is ready for practice.
